About Me

I spent the first part of my career as a casting director for Broadway theater, television sitcoms, and some really terrible movies. After twenty years, it was time for a new challenge. I went back to school and received my college counseling certification from UCLA. And I was hooked. I realized that college counseling requires the same exact same set of skills as casting. Strange, but true. Both professions require endless amounts of research, finding the perfect fit whether for a role or a college, and managing expectations while still aspiring to greatness. Now, instead of giving an actor their Broadway debut, I get to set a student up for success at a college they’ll love.  I know that my experience at Wesleyan University helped shape me into who I am, and I’m determined to guide students to find the schools that will help them develop academically, emotionally, and professionally.

When I’m not with students, I’m exploring Los Angeles with my husband, teenage daughter (I’m living this process myself!) and my ridiculously cute dog, Maya.
